First and foremost, this air compressor is very quiet and lightweight. At only 55 dB’s, the noise is less than that from an alarm clock or a typical conversation.

The case is made from aluminum, weighting in at only forty nine pounds. Using aluminum saved approximately twenty six pounds over the use of steel. It has a maximum pressure of one hundred twenty five PSI and takes a mere thirty seconds to recharge itself after use.

The QuietZone APC4406 is well built and quiet enough to use in other capacities, such as trade shows. The quiet operation of the compressor keeps noise levels down and the oil-free pump makes maintenance quick and easy and with no mess. The compressor is quiet enough to allow conversation, while still making the most from its applications.

The ease of operation starts right from page one, where it recommends a build-up period in-order for you to ‘break-in’ the compressor. For the hobbyist, it is great for engraving and other delicate operations, because the noise level is such that it will not bother you at all.
